Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Welcome to Trip Happens. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of triphappenstravel.com, the TripHappens web app at app.triphappenstravel.com, and any content, products, or services offered through them (together, the “Services”), operated by Trip Happens (“we,” “us”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. What we provide

The Services include travel-preparation content and guides; the TripHappens trip-readiness app; a curated shop of third-party products; travel-planning and retreat-planning services provided through our role as an independent Fora Travel advisor; and email newsletters.

2. Travel information is guidance, not guarantee

Entry rules, visa requirements, health guidance, advisories, and similar information change without notice. The app routes you to official sources and summarizes them for convenience; you are responsible for verifying all requirements with the official source (embassy, government site, airline, or carrier) before you travel. We are not liable for decisions made in reliance on summaries in the app or on the site.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login secure. We may suspend accounts used in violation of these Terms.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Paid offerings (such as a Trip Pass or annual membership) are billed as described at the point of purchase, with payments processed by our payment provider. Prices may change; changes never apply retroactively to a term you have already paid for. If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact us at hello@triphappenstravel.com and we will work with you to make it right.

5. Affiliate links and advertising

Some links on the Services are affiliate links, including links to Amazon (as an Amazon Associates participant) and other partners listed in our Affiliate Disclosure at triphappenstravel.com/affiliate-disclosure/. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

6. Intellectual property

The content on the Services (text, checklists, images, branding) belongs to Trip Happens or its licensors. You may use it personally; you may not republish or resell it without permission.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Services: no scraping at scale, no attempting to break or overload the app, no using the Services for unlawful purposes.

8. Third-party services

The Services link to and rely on third parties (booking platforms, official government sources, payment processors, Amazon). Their terms govern your use of their services; we are not responsible for their content or actions.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
