New, For Teams

Now planning team retreats.

Distributed teams still need to get in a room together, and it still needs to work. As a Fora credentialed advisor, I bring the same rigor I've used on corporate accounts for thirty years to sourcing venues, managing logistics, and building an agenda people actually remember.

Who This Is For

How it works

Four steps from idea to retreat

No mystery. No upsell. Here’s exactly what working together on your team’s offsite looks like.

1

Free intake call

30 minutes by Zoom. Team size, dates, dealbreakers, budget, what last year’s retreat got right (or didn’t).

2

Custom proposal

Within a week: 2–3 venue options, suggested itinerary, partner-programme perks at each property, transparent costs.

3

Book + prep

I handle the bookings, confirm the perks, and put together a pre-trip packet for every team member.

4

On-trip support

Real human reachable mid-trip. Delay, swap, restaurant emergency — I’m on it. No chatbot.

My take

What separates retreats that work from retreats that don’t

The venue is doing 50% of the work. Choose wrong and even great agenda design can’t save it. The partner programmes I have access to unlock venues that aren’t bookable directly.
Agenda + ambient time at a 60/40 ratio. Over-scheduled retreats burn teams out. Under-scheduled retreats feel aimless. The ratio matters and gets refined with the team’s input.
Travel logistics are a culture moment. If the first 6 hours of someone’s retreat are a baggage nightmare, the next 4 days run uphill. Logistics are not “details” — they’re the trip.
The food is more important than the spreadsheet thinks it is. Pre-arranged group dinners at venues with character beat the “let’s all just walk and find somewhere” approach every time.
Real perks beat extra budget. Partner-programme room upgrades, daily breakfast, hotel credit, late check-out — real value the booking platform never shows you.
Where I plan

The platforms & venues I actively work with

Through Fora and direct partnerships, I have access to venues across these networks — including ones that aren’t bookable through public retreat platforms.

Quick answers

Frequently asked

How much does this cost?
For most retreats, my planning fee is paid by the venue or platform — through partner-programme commissions Fora arranges. You pay the same rate you’d pay direct, but with added perks (room upgrades, breakfast, hotel credit) that aren’t bookable any other way. For complex or fully-custom itineraries, a small planning fee may apply, quoted upfront before any work begins.
What team size do you typically plan for?
10–100 people. Smaller than that and the partner-programme math doesn’t unlock as much value. Larger than that and the planning typically involves a corporate-events firm, which is a different category.
Can I book through my own retreat platform AND work with you?
Often yes. If you already have a Surf Office or Off Site quote, send it over — I can frequently match it with partner-programme perks added on top through Fora. Same trip, better stay.
Do you handle flights for the whole team?
For international business and first-class through partner-programme rates, yes. For domestic and standard economy, you’ll usually get the best deal direct with airlines — I’ll point you to the right tools.
What about travel insurance?
Always recommended for international team travel. I can suggest providers I’ve personally used and walk through what to look for in group coverage.
What if something goes wrong on the trip?
Text or email. That’s the entire reason to work with an advisor instead of a platform. Trip Happens — but I’m in your team’s corner when it does.
Are you available for brand partnerships?
If you operate a retreat platform, venue network, or distributed-team service and want to discuss content partnerships or co-marketing: email me directly.
